How We Built the College Counselling Curriculum that Broke Admissions This Year

Behind the scenes of how we built the curriculum that got ALL our students into Ivy League and T25 universities

This past year in college admissions was brutal. Kids with 4.0 GPAs, thoughtful essays, and all consuming after school activities weren't just being rejected from the Ivy Leagues, but from their SAFETIES and REACHES as well.

Yet, my friends, clients, and I, students only a year or two older than your kid, weren’t just getting into our reaches and a few top schools, but EVERY. SINGLE. IVY. LEAGUE.

Yup. Every single one. No academic stone left unturned.

This isn’t because these kids were rich, legacies, or had some unique foot in the door. It’s also not because they paid their way through the process with overbearing tutors, guidence counsellors planning every step of their application, or any other BS. My friends, clients, and I are just regular high school seniors.

Except we aren’t.

We figured out one simple rule to elite college admissions that no stuffy college admissions counsellor who went to an Ivy 10 years ago can tell you.

And no I’m not going to make you buy my course, or make you jump through fifty different hoops to understand what it is.

The simple truth of college admissions is that the kids who get in aren’t the ones who play the game of joining the yearbook club, volunteering at animal shelters, or captioning the tennis team. It’s the kids who are weird, the kids who invent a solution to their grandma’s chronic jaw pain, the athletes who are nationally ranked in orienteering, the students who build more accessible website tech instead of paying attention in AP Environmental Science.

These kids aren’t curing cancer, building million dollar businesses, or any of that crap you see on news headlines every year. Elite colleges know that your kid has the potential to be awesome, and they want to see that, not some manufactured profile created by an icky guidance counsellor.

So, come be weird with us!
